About
What are the ways we foster connection and hope through design? How can we love our neighbor through the things we create?

In my practice, I’m interested in mediums that create limitations and outcomes that show traces of the human hand. In a world where we value efficiency and timeliness, I aim to slow down. I have found myself drawn to physical processes that allow the viewer to see every line carved and every line stitched. I value design that centers play, and experimentation. I had never taken an art class before coming to Appalachian State to study graphic design and I have learned quite a lot in that time. One of the most beautiful things about becoming an artist and designer has been seeing the impact art can have on growing a community, creating comfort, and offering hopeful perspectives. I hope to continue those motifs through gentleness, honesty, and approachability in my work.
